Read if You Like

Doing a poster session was a lot of fun! My Library Technician and I both drove out to Ontario with all our supplies, but Randy was prepared with all the materials we might need. Having the mini presentations was great because we got to stand by our bulletin boards and answer any questions. More information is available online:

The Serendipity of Learning comes out as we share and grow together. Submit an idea for the poster session for this year's conference. You can see how simple or complex the ideas can be at: http://tinyurl.com/CSLAPosterSession. Your time is valuable so here it is in a nutshell with links to the details. This is a chance to share your successes and strengths with everyone. Your ideas may be the key to a great year for others, or to recharge our creativity cells. It may be the best advice a newbie gets all year. The presentations can be on a 4' x 8' or 4' x 4' bulletin board surface. I'll have many of the display supplies such as pins, tape, etc. available. For full details and an application visit: http://www.csla.net/con/PosterSessionApplication2009.pdf. Also look into the poster session page on the conference wiki: http://csla2009.wikispaces.com/Poster+Sessions. This is a fantastic way to connect with each other. Even email me with all the required information to submit a proposal. Any questions? Get in touch with me day or night. Applications are due by October 1st and you will be notified by October 17th. (I am sure there will be some quicker notifications when appropriate.) Randy de Jong

6-19-09 Posting on http://www.csla.net/con/:

“Embrace the Serendipity of Learning” with your colleagues by sharing ideas through a poster session. Here is an opportunity to showcase one of your successful lessons without having to present a concurrent session. Want to present but did not have time to write up a concurrent session? The poster session is a perfect opportunity. The posters will be part of our exhibit hall.

If you have any question about the poster session, please call Randy de Jong at (661) 679-4022.
Send your application by email to Randy de Jong by October 1, and you will be informed by October 17 if you are selected.

Hey, school is coming for an end. Please think about participating in the poster session during the CSLA conference in November. I am awaiting the links for the submission application in order to make it available. If you are interested or want to bounce ideas off me, send me a message or give me a call. I will get back to you. The displays can take a complete or 1/2 bulletin board. Thanks. Randy de Jong

It is early, but there is no time like the present to get you thinking about the fall conference in Ontario. The POSTER SESSION needs your participation. We want to learn and share all we can. It is less than a concurrent session, yet more than a handout. If you have a great idea, lesson, activity or ???? that you will share with us, contact me with your idea and needs. The poster session exhibits will be displayed on roughly 4' x 8' bulletin boards. (You may also share a bulletin board. School hasn't ended quite yet, so you may be able to save or find those great materials to share. This year, any poster session presenter that would like will have a chance to be available to answer questions. This isn't required, nor will it take you away from other structured activities. Please drop me a line. I will get official proposal forms put together in the near future. Stay tuned for more information. Randy de Jong
